My research thus far has yielded nothing. The library has yielded nothing. The Restricted Section has yielded nothing. Sevvie's little hoard of tantric books has yielded nothing.
So hypothetically, if the answer lies nowhere else, then answer must lie within myself.
So hypothetically, without actually being hypothetical, I'm going to go meditate in a Buddhist monastary that Sevvie and I passed on the way to Hoh Nuur. So long as I don't get lost or maimed or beat by a car full of Mongolians, this should bring some enlightenment to the situation.

the Mongolian Wilderness |
] |
Dearest Sev and I decided to vacation in a rather discrete location. We needed to be away from the children and this most discrete location had exactly what we desired, discretion and us. We packed our trunks full of winter clothing and headed off to snowy Choybalsan, Mongolia.
Our only initial problem was that Choybalsan, Mongola is not snowy during the summer. Instead it is rather hot. Not entirely sweltering, but hot nonetheless.
All we had were our winter clothes, no short sleeves nor short pants. Just layers upon layers of heat-preserving snowwear.
But we persevered, we decided to take a day trip to Hoh Nuur, a lake North of Choybalsan. We rented a muggle car and away we sped toward the lake.
But we are manly men. Manly men don't ask for instructions from Mongolians when they're lost in the Mongolian wilderness!
Needless to say, we're melting in the middle of absolutely nowhere, but love will conquer all!

Sevviepoo! Love! Tomorrow! It's tomorrow! Our wedding! Not in a month! Not in a week! Tomorrow! Us! Married!
I feel a little like bursting into song...

Love! There is only a week to go - just seven days before we are joined in holy matrimony!
Seven days!
Seven...days.
SEVEN DAYS?! Oh my goodness, we don't even have a menu yet. Severus! Quickly! We need to discuss this. I was thinking perhaps something called the "Wedding Bells buffet". It includes beef, pasta and fried chicken, and it also comes with a delicious sounding pineapple/lime pistachio dessert. What do you think?

Er, Sevvie, love... as wonderful as the interruption was last night, we never actually ended up deciding on our wedding attire.
I found an ad for this in The Quibbler this morning:

Well. The last week has gone by in a blissful whirlwind of wedding plans. I still can't quite believe that I'm marrying my very own Mr. Wonderful, who takes care of me at the full moon and brings me picnic lunches with flowers. He makes me want to swoon.
P.S. Sev, love, have you looked at the invitation samples yet?

I've seen the album, Severus.

Minerva took me to Woodrose & Kitts in Hogsmeade today - supposedly with innocent motives - but once we got there she left me to go and talk to Woodrose, and upon approaching the counter Kitts all but threw this album at me. I was taken completely aback until she threw the card at me as well.

I have never felt worse in my entire life. And I mean ever.
I know I'm a git, and a prat, and I know I cocked up brilliantly. Do you know, I was ready to give up. But this has reminded me that you did love me, at least, and I love you, Sev. I want to make memories with you. Only problem is, that's bloody hard to do when you want me out of your life, so I'm pleading with you to give me another chance.
Please, Severus.

While my third year Ravenclaw/Hufflepuffs are perusing the chapters on the difference between the vampires in Muggle folklore and those in the real world, I thought I would use this spare moment to thank you again, Minerva, for entertaining Severus and I on Saturday night. The dinner was most pleasant, and might I say that your...er...young guest was very polite for someone in a Full Body-bind.

It's lovely to be back here at Hogwarts, but I find I cannot sleep. Instead, I am sitting by the fire with a nice hot cup of tea as I write in this journal.
My quarters are of a generous size (thank you, Albus) and I have quite enough room for everything I need, but as magic interferes with electricity, I'm afraid there is not much to entertain me. I am not patrolling the corridors tonight, so perhaps I shall begin my lesson plans for the term. That ought to put me to sleep, at any rate.

Why isn't everyone trying to rescue Sirius from that blasted Veil? Dumbledore is clearly not trying hard enough.
ALBUS DUMBLEDORE : YOU SHOULD BE TRYING HARDER. WHY AREN'T YOU?
I almost want to just walk right in there myself and try to find him. That would probably be dangerous, though. Plus, I suppose it wouldn't work.
There should be people at the Veil night and day, thinking of new plans of rescue. Why aren't there? Does no one care? Hello, people? I mean, this is Sirius Black we're talking about!

I spent most of today at Hogwarts, sitting in front of the Veil and yelling at it. I wonder if Sirius heard me? Does he need food? Water? Tea? Is he bored? Lonely? What if the dead people are mean to him? ARE they dead people? Or are they perhaps spirits?
I spent most of the day alone, except for the pitifully inadequate amounts of time when Headmaster Dumbledore and the others were around. I think I shall return tomorrow.

Material Girl - Madonna - Like a Virgin |

Gracious. I'm still shocked at the state Arthur was in when I got to the Burrow.
I thought I was prepared. I armed myself with a Walkman and an assortment of tapes, but we had to try several selections before we found something that got that infectious hook out of Arthur's head. I was certain that 'Like a Virgin' would do the trick, but it was not very effective.
When I left, Arthur was resting comfortably, wearing my earphones and murmuring "I'm Too Sexy for My Shirt".

Well. Last night with Severus, dancing and otherwise, was what I'd call enjoyable.
I did not, however, get very much sleep. I think I shall go rest. Sev and I have plans later for tea and some flying, so I must recover my strength.
